Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2010 Frisco STYLE Best of Business competition. We are pleased to announce that for the 8th consecutive year, Frisco STYLE will be publishing our Best of Business issue in October 2010. As in the past, the issue will honor between 8 and 12 area businesses for excellence in business and each recipient will receive editorial coverage in the issue.

For 2010, we have changed the application and participation process. The reasons for these changes are:

  1. We wanted to make participation more meaningful for all businesses, whether or not they are award winners. Every participating business will receive actionable information about their business as a result of simply participating.
  2. We wanted to place all businesses on a “level playing field” related to how they are evaluated and awarded.

In order to deliver on these goals, Frisco STYLE has partnered with local business coach, Rich Allen of ActionCOACH. ActionCOACH is a worldwide firm dedicated to helping business owners improve their businesses through guidance, support and encouragement. ActionCoach has a proven record of helping small- and medium-sized businesses succeed by providing tools for effective sales, marketing, management, team building and much more.

Winners of the 2010 Frisco STYLE Best of Business will be determined based on information gathered during the application process. Winners will not be categorized by industry, as in the past, but on excellence in business functional areas (i.e. customer service, sales process, vision and mission, etc.)

In order to be eligible, you must:

  1. Complete and submit the 8th Annual Frisco STYLE Best of Business Award Application, available on the site.
  2. Within 5 days of submitting your application, you will be contacted to complete a brief interview, either in-person or over the phone, with an ActionCOACH representative.

All applicant information will be evaluated and scored. Individual scorecards will be provided to participating businesses to help identify areas of expertise and improvement.

Best of Business Frisco award recipients will be announced at an awards reception at the Stadium Club at Pizza Hut Park on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 5:30pm.
